CrossFit is not a specialized program; rather, it focuses on optimal performance in the ten recognized fitness domains. These include cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. Our kids program is a scaled down version of the adult program. When kids play, they push, pull, run, climb and tumble. Through the fundamentals of CrossFit, we teach them how to perform these movements safely and efficiently.
CrossFit Bison’s kids program empowers kids to develop body control, confidence and stamina through skill practice, workouts and games. The program focuses on developing healthy habits at a young age while having FUN! Our top priority is for all kids to love fitness and become well-rounded athletes regardless of ability, skill level or age.
Classes incorporate workouts, nutrition education, goal setting and teamwork throughout the session. Body weight movements, gymnastics, weightlifting, rope climbs, and rowing are some of the elements learned that will develop strength and conditioning in our kids. Kids from ages 3-12 are welcome to participate in the program. Our Little Beasts include kids ages 3-6 while kids ages 7-12 can enroll in our Bison Kids program.
