Strength work does not always include a barbell, nor does it always include weight altogether. Part 1 has a lot of advantages if done correctly. Part 2, based on your gymnastics capacity, will be conditioning or an extension to the strength work. Both are fine.

SUGGESTED WARM UP

  1. 5 Scap Push Ups + 5 Scap Pull Ups – 3 sets
  2. Upper body windshield wipers – both arms – 10 reps
  3. PVC Pipe – Shoulder pass throughs and Figures 8s – 20 seconds each
  4. Press Up to Downward Dog – 5 reps
